A retelling of Charles Perault's fairytale Peau d'Ane, or Donkeyskin.

Ten years before the start of our story, a young king married the most beautiful woman in the world. Nine years ago, the princess Elodie was born of their union, a girl small and plain and unassuming.

From the day she was born, Elodie has lived in her parents' shadows, not minding, because she's known little else. Nine years, she's been tucked away in her nursery, ignored, forgotten, until one fateful winter.

Warning: Because this story does follow the plot of the original story it will contain incestuous themes and sexual harassment/rape. If you are sensitive to these things, I'm sorry and you may want to skim/skip chapters 4-5 (Of Hatred and Of Pain).

Once upon a time in the hidden heart of France, a handsome young prince lived in a beautiful castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was selfish, spoiled, and unkind. He had an entire army of servants there to attend to his every need, most of which were there since his childhood. The prince nearly hated his staff, even when they'd done nothing wrong - and were only trying to meet his needs. One night, during one of the Prince's courting events - a special type of ball, where dozens of young woman would dress up and dance with the prince, in an attempt to win over his heart and become queen to the Kingdom - An uninvited guest arrived. It was a poor, shivering, elderly woman seeking shelter from the bitter winter storm. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince dismissed the woman. As a gift, the old woman offered the prince a single rose, but when he dismissed her again, the woman's outer appearance melted away. Only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince begged for forgiveness, but it was too late - for she could see there was no love in his heart. The enchantress cursed the prince, transforming him into a hideous beast - and if he was unable to learn to love another, and earn their love in return by the time the last petal from the rose she offered had fallen, he would remain a beast forever. But the enchantress also placed the curse upon his innocent castle staff, who were transformed into antiques; suffering for the prince's mistake(s) in small, rusting, metallic bodies. Life was hard enough for the staff, but now - it was unbearable. ~ This story will go through the staff's struggles before, DURING, and after they were cursed. It will also fill plot holes and extend the ending of Beauty And The Beast. A majority of this story is a prequel, and will fall into a bit of a sequel as well, so I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

If you enjoy hot and steamy fairy tales, this story is for you. In this grown-up version of the famous fairy tale, Princess Adara is running from her old life and a forced betrothal. Adara wants love and passion, but knows she can't get them back home. When a raging storm halts her escape, Adara seeks refuge in the first dwelling she sees. Prince Richard is tired of the trite, vain, frigid princesses his mother introduces him to in hopes he'll marry. On this stormy night, he's in the mood to love a woman, but he's all alone. Adara arrives on the castle doorstep, saying she's a princess in need of help. The queen is doubtful and decides to lock Adara in a room with a pea to determine if the girl is as royal as she claims. Richard believes the beautiful, charming stranger, but he wants her locked in a bedroom for other reasons. When Richard and Adara hook up, there's more than a pea-sized bit of passion involved....(This is an adult fairy tale.) The story is complete on Wattpad. WAR IN ALDORIA: SHADOWS OF THE THRONE. by Rya_Robyn

"There's a saying my people use in times like this" "Like this?... how often do you people get tied up to trees in the forest at midnight?!" I snapped "Do you wanna hear the saying or not?" I sigh "Fine...what is the stupid saying, oh I mean the wise proverb you galshitters use" I roll my eyes I hear him chuckle softly at the other side of the tree "It goes... when you lock your heart, the walls you build become your own prison" I take a deep breath before speaking "HOW THE HELL DOES THAT APPLY HERE?!!?!!" Princess Isadora is the third daughter of the six royal siblings of Aldoria. Her Father the king is growing ill and soon has to step down so her oldest brother, Elias, can take to the throne. With threats of war against neighboring kingdoms, Isadora has been chosen, more like forced to marry Prince Lysander of Galdora, in order for their kingdoms to find peace with each other. Isadora is not your typical kind, caring Snow White of a princess, she's harsh, mean and even cruel. She might look nice but her heart is allergic to love and affection, the very thought of being in love with someone and being a wife to a man is repulsive to her. Lysander on the other hand, has a cold and stoic persona, or so people think. He's actually a very kindhearted person who can't bear the sight of others suffering. But that doesn't mean he's weak, he can be very hotheaded and strict if it comes down to it. Maybe he's too confident, flirty and cocky, but he's still a good person. Sometimes. Both are very stubborn and don't take no for an answer. But now that they don't have a choice but to be wedded for the benefit of their kingdoms, will they be able to open their hearts and give in to their growing attraction for one another, or will the pressures of war get to them first?

Hunchbacks don't get love. They get ridicule and scorn. That suits Wyrn just fine. As the son of a warlord, he resolves to die earning his father's respect in a tournament instead. The plan backfires and he's forced to marry a princess against his will. She's 18, beautiful, and suspicious. There is no way a king would give away his ONLY child to a random man much less a hunchback. Something must be wrong with her. And so, Wyrn decides to give her back. The only problem? She won't let him.
