Based apon the video game of the same name, it finds our hero; Shadow the Hedgehog suffering from amnesia in the middle of a three way war with G.U.N., The Black Arms, and the Eggman Empire. 


After meeting up with Black Doom for the first time, Shadow makes his way through Westoplis; the first stop on his long and choice driven journey, where he meets a family of three. This was Preston the Hedgehog, along with his wife and child; Shade and Cherry (designs can be seen on the cover). Rouge comes back from a mission hearing about the death of sonic and shadow daughter and goes to confront the others Sonic starts avoiding his friends but still help citizens what will happen when sonic looses all his feelings?

After finding out the reason why Shadow likes being alone in that one particular cave, he decided to stick around and company him.
