In this story Kion is not the Prince of Pridelands. He was actually the son of two lions named Simba and Nala who used travel around in search of a new safe home until one day , they died while protecting Kion from a pack of leopards. Kion somehow escaped from the leopards because of his parents and then started living alone in a forest alone without any friends.
Until One Day, he helps a lioness named Rani, her Night Pride and her parents who are lost, to reach their home to the Tree of Life after which he learns that living with friends is much better than living alone.

Kion is exiled from the Pride Lands for 2 months for injuring Kiara after a heated argument which led to a fight. Kion ended up using the Roar on Kiara which knocked her unconscious.
