When the secret of the healing properties of merfolk blood come out, a massacre begins. The landfolk go for their blood. The merfolk retaliate. Lives are lost of both sides- this chapter of the history books is soaked in red.
After the massacre, the two sides withdraw and live apart in relative peace. On land: A prince, a serving boy, a body guard, a handmaiden, and a princess. And from the sea: A stranded Siren, and two others set on bringing him home. Easy operation turns nightmare as sparks fly, swords clash, and pirates seize the kingdom.
When home, friends, and love has been taken from you, where do you run? And how hard do you fight?
