Sam Wilson and Lyndee St. James were high school sweethearts but lost contact when Sam left Louisiana to join the AirForce. Once Sam got back from his tours of duty he felt so broken he didn't look her up, only finding out small details from his sister Sarah about her. Upon bringing Bucky and Steve home to Delacroix to meet Sarah he sees Lyndee in the grocery store and the memories of them together flood his mind and he decides he has to do something to win her back.
When he almost dies due to a mission, Sarah intervenes, bringing Lyndee and her sister Lynnex to the hospital where Sam is.
When he wakes up, he doesn't remember they have been apart for over a decade. When Steve, Bucky and the others come to see him, he has no memory of knowing them or being a part of the team as The Falcon. Lyndee volunteers to nurse him back to health in Delacroix. Will Sam realize she is the wind beneath his wings or will she leave him in the end?
