That feeling of peace and all your problems drifting into space melting away, 16 year old Luke soon learns that being alone is not always a pleasant feeling. When he wishes to be left alone upon a wishing well he soon discovers being alone isn't such a nice feeling. As Lukes mind slips away from reality he's losing sanity. They kept on doing it over, over and over again. They were like a blood-curdling spoilt alarm clock signal repeating itself endlessly. There was actually no end. My tired baggy eyes slowly fluttered open. Everywhere was moving in a gradual wobbly pace. I felt dizzy. My head was banging and banging relentlessly like a popcorn machine. Nauseating flashes of familiar faces covered up in grisly blood popped up in my terrified mind. I immediately gagged as a result. My stomach churned as the flashes slowly became more vivid. "Oh, you're awake? That good for you" A deep, yet falsely gentle, voice pierced through my turmoil. "Care for another round?' he said giving me a sinister smirk. "No please. I can't take it anymore! There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. Only large animals with sharp claws, too many people touching me, bullies, hives, horror movies, sitting underneath fans or lights or anything that dangles from a ceiling, glass or wooden bridges, my mother, mosquitoes, public situations, taking a shower with nobody in the house, taking a shower with too many people in the house and crocks. Oh, and zombies. Zombies is definitely on that list. It's almost a shame too, that I have to race through a city packed full of them to find my missing family. Packed full of zombies, by the way, not crocks. (Although I don't know which situation is worse.) Now I have to not only keep my feeble body alive, but also protect (or be protected by) my two best friends in the entire world as we all try to survive in a city packed with the Dead.
