LOVE STORIES, ONE SHOTS, and SONG FICTIONS!

So as it turns out I am completely incapable of writing a story of my own. I couldn't even finish a story that had been started by another writer and given to me, with multiple chapters finished. I even had the writer permission to publish it as is (since it had never been published before) of course I couldn't do that, I wanted to make it my own, and yet I still can't seems to make anything work out. So lately I've started reading one shots and song fictions which are very cute, and it seems to me that the writer of these stories have to put just as much work into one of these stories, as they would a longer story. So I have decided to try starting with some of these shorter stories, and maybe then it will help me.
