Deemed a curse for failing to fulfil a prophecy of restoration, Prince Ara has been imprisoned since birth by his parents, King Narain and Queen Reena of Volkanos. The young prince lives in fear, suffering a life of shame and abuse from them.

His life abruptly changes when he witnesses a miraculous kingdom in the sky belonging to the divine King Logos. The spirit of Logos opens his mind, and he begins to see into the spiritual realms.

Soon after, Ara encounters the eccentric dwarf Merkel, who helps him escape and takes him to his master, the sorcerer Mr. Keep. The young prince trains in the dark arts over the years, growing in power. But his heart hardens, and he struggles to hold onto the innocence he once had.

Ara finds himself battling for his soul and for the truth of who he is, as he continues to yearn for the light of Logos in the depths of Mr. Keep's darkness.
