A stage-or-screenplay tale of healing, empowerment, redemption, forgiveness, and drugs.
We begin at the end of "Dune." The Fremen and Paul Atriedes have defeated House Harkonnen and the Sadaukar army, and Paul is poised to become Emperor through the hand in marriage of Emperor Shaddam IV's eldest daughter, the Princess Irulan. Paul will try to assure his lover Chani that even as his concubine instead of his wife, she will always be his one true love. However, Chani will decide that concubine is not enough. In grieving the end of her relationship with Paul and the heartbreaking death of hers and Paul's son, she will become a strong leader in her own right. As a Sayyadina of a brand new sietch, Chani will face the challenges of governance, changes to Arrakis under Paul's reign, and the impending interstellar jihad. Chani will be forced to make difficult and dangerous decisions as she balances the safety of her people, deep spirituality, and the longings of her heart.
