Michelle "Mickey" Hopper has a lot of problems. An alcoholic father ignoring the loss of his youngest daughter, her sister, Sarah. A manipulative boyfriend who keeps convincing her to come back to him. A drug addiction she's keeping from nearly everyone in her life. And now, her friend Barb is missing and she's being drawn into a world of vanished children and mysterious monsters.
The one constant in her life is her best friend. To everyone else, he's King Steve "the Hair" Harrington, the cold and popular playboy. People are still mentally recovering from the losses, while others are mentally fighting. The group being the only people who knows the truth of what happened, are doing their best to move on and have normal lives. Maybe what Jeanette needs is to fall in love with a DnD playing, rock obsessed, drug dealer named Eddie Munson...
