Thorn is the successor as Queen to her clan. But tensions rise as she sees another side of life than the others. With threat of invasion by not only a rival clan but lone bachelor lions, her ideals of breaking tradition cannot be tolerated by the already unstable clan. As her friend's lives are threatened for her nonconformity, a plan comes to her to run away to a place she had seen in her dreams. A high mountain, where thunder and rain fall, and there are other hyenas with long shimmering coats, beckoning her to join them.
This is just an experimental story and I'm not sure I'll come back to it. But if anyone would like it I would be glad to put a little more effort in.
