This is a story of a seven year old Wei Ying who was recently adopted by Hua Cheng and Xie Lian. Xie Lian was just walking around the mortal realm buying some fresh fruits and some mentou, when he suddenly heard some wailing from a young child in a corner who was surrounded by fierce dogs. He brought him back to his home at Puqi Shrine where Hua Cheng is waiting for his return

In this au Xie Lian is the heavenly emperor also Jun Wu will be Xie Lian's father.
Xie Lian and Hua Cheng were also married here. And the other ghost kings will be nice to Wei Ying. 

The credits of the novel details go to Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, she is the author of the two amazing novels that I read so far, "Mo Dao Zu Shi" and "Tian Guan Ci Fu".
