Clay wants to go to a good school and get a high-paying job to support his family, and Tsunami needs to get away from her controlling parents and live her own life. Glory has always struggled with trying to accept her dark past, like Starflight, who's doing everything he can to fit in and belong, while Sunny just wants to bring some joy into her friends' lives but ignores her problems while doing so.
In a prestigious boarding school in the middle of nowhere, five clueless teenagers are faced with ruthless bullies, the whole teaching staff mysteriously resigning, and the consequences of running away from their own actions.

Moon is starting a new year in private school, just like everyone else. This school only opened a month ago, so no one knows anyone. Moon hoped she wouldn't need to cause... problems... if they start nagging her. Most of the kids were tutored most their life so, again, no one knows anything. This school year was sure going to be dramatic. Moon starts off the year making three friends-her best friends. They always claim that she's "badass" but maybe she's just too harsh. About five months into school, Moon decides to be the little angel everyone wants her to be. That doesn't really last long. Her mother, Secretkeeper hooks Moon up with a boy to make her get married at 17.
