Probably one of the most successful video game franchises in recent years, Monster Hunter has always been a series that has captured the imagination of many people with its fantastical yet realistic creatures. From the scary Vaal Hazak to the goofy Kulu Ya Ku, every last monster is unique and creative in its own way. With each species filling an ecological niche in the environment it inhabits, it honestly feels like you're exploring a real ecosystem, even if the animals that populate it are imagined.

However, what if these creatures didn't come from a video game? What if these monsters were real flesh and blood animals that lived in our world? Well in this book, we'll explore an alternate universe where the beasts from Monster Hunter evolved on Earth.

What would the pressures of our reality do to them? Where would they live? How might they affect the environments, and the species that live there? Would they act differently from their digital counterparts? How might they affect our own evolution? These questions and many more will be answered in this book. So why don't you join me in this incredible and exciting look into a world of monsters.

Note: I do not own the copyright to Monster Hunter or any of the pictures or videos seen here, all of these belong to their rightful owners. Also, this is not canon nor is it a book that should be taken seriously; it's completely fictional and made for fun. Unfortunately the threats to are wildlife are all too real, but so are the solutions. So if you want to help protect our world in real life, this book may just be able to help.

No one looks at a killer and thinks "oh, they're probably just misunderstood." Because who would think that when you've killed someone, when you've drawn blood without the intent for mercy. That just doesn't sit well with people, especially the humans, so, I've gotten used to the way people see me. I've killed plenty of things in my life, all in one single cage in the basement of a building. I've killed small things, like mice, and bugs, (I was desperate at that time), and I've even killed a few humans in my cage, but I've also killed things that were close to me, and I've never forgiven myself, even though a side of me always told me that killing was what I was made for. That was my life, until I found myself in the wrong place at the wrong time a few too many times. Which led to the fight, and fall which I only hoped would be my death, because I've never wanted anything more, but it wasn't. This story contains gore, violence, death, descriptive torture and gore, suicidal thoughts, massacre, and more, reader discretion advised. This story is not very well written, not anything like Ripper: an Indoraptor Story, or Hybrids, both by EkemWrites, but I still did my best on it, and I hope you enjoy it if you decide to read it. This book is in continuous production (even if I take long breaks) so I may edit or redo chapters even when I'm already further ahead in the book. I advise watching Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom to get the basic story to avoid confusion at the beginning.

Esme "Ever since birth I've been looked at with eyes of hatred, despair, fear, as well as pity... no one has ever looked at me with love, care or desire... I want someone to see me as not a lonely orphan, but a girl that needs love." Dazod "Everything always has and always will be set in stone for me. No matter what happens, I am going to rule this dimension. As given the title 'Demon Lord', and it is a huge honor... however there is a part of me that doesn't know if this is the path I truly want..." ~ Esme is a human girl, lonely since the day of her birth. She's come to learn that the only way to survive is to not trust anyone and have an indifferent personality. However... one day a man with horns appears in the dumpster outside her apartment complex, she thought he may have been a regular cosplayer just trying to get by... until she noticed his wounds and how fatal they were, he was undoubtedly swaying between life and death. Something within her had pushed aside her usual uncaring self and made her decide to help the man. Yet, she was too naive to realize how bad her situation became... Dazod is the Demon Prince (some already given the title "demon lord") has learned to not trust humans, but to kill them with no mercy, and not just humans, any species as well. However, when he travels to the human world one night he is chased and ends up wavering between life and death! Yet, he somehow survives with the help of a young human girl with golden eyes. Rules are stated that if a human finds out about you, you must kill that human. Somehow he couldn't do it, though this girl is rude to him, she doesn't believe him, so there would be no point. The day after an ordeal happens which causes Dazod to have to stay in the human dimension and having to protect Esme... even if he didn't want to at first. However, after spending time with this human he starts to think... maybe she isn't all that bad... and maybe they're similar in a way. Cover by WickedKittyGal
