I've ✨finally✨ hopped halfway back on the writing wagon. I had a couple ideas circulating, but this one stuck out the most for me. The others are on the back-burner, though, I promise.

-I chose Mike for this because the descriptions of thought processes and actions fit him, I thought. He's such a genuine sweetheart.

I've added some significant twists from the original anime and replaced Ray entirely with you (the reader) with a totally different back story.
