You are the Doom Slayer, filled with rage from years and years of living with the memory that these vile fucking otherworldly creatures have murdered your poor innocent rabbit, Daisy. Oh, and murdered your family, killing the rest of mankind and took over the entire earth and turned it into a hellish wasteland, but that's not that important.

You are currently battling the Icon of Sin, and while doing so, you have to fight tons of hordes of demons of many kinds. But since you had an over abundance of ammo, it wasn't that much of a challenge for you.

After a hard fought battle, you have finally killed the Icon of Sin once more and had Vega, your trusty AI companion, teleport you back to the Fortress of Doom so you could find a place to hang the handle of the Crucible or to hopefully repair it.

But before teleporting, Vega warned the Slayer about it being unstable due to the distance between the Fortress of Doom and Earth. But the Slayer, knowing the risk and being a total badass, went with it anyway.

Unfortunately, during the teleportation, the tunnel started acting up, causing new portals to open up within it and Vega warning the Slayer about a massive spike in demonic energy coming from one of the portals.

Making the Slayer go into said portal and end up within the hell that we all know and love.

[Also, I Know Vega was sacrificed and everything, which sets up an interesting storyline in the actual campaign timeline, but I need Vega alive.]
