"You've got to be kidding, Astrid. After all of this- Everything we talked about, you're still leaving," Sam's eyes welted up with angry tears. His face changed expressions to a furrowed brow. He rubbed his forehead. I couldn't move. I just stared down at him, sitting on his bed. I held my backpack in my arms. He glanced up at me, just staring. Expressionless. Sam angrily stood up, and paced around the room. "Jesus Astrid," he said. He stood in front of me. "Look me in the eyes and tell me you don't love me Astrid," He locked eyes with me. His eyes were tinted pink from the tears that escaped from his tear ducts. His eyes traveled all along my face. I felt wetness fall down my cheek. I quickly swiped it away. Sam didn't break eye contact. "Say it," he said, firmly. "Sam-" I stuttered. "Say it, Astrid. Say you don't love me, and this can all be over," He breathed heavier with every word. His voice was on the brink of cracking. He sucked his bottom lip under his top teeth. "Stop," my voice was low and shaking. He closed his eyes and dropped his head. I closed mine and let my tears vibrate my body with a pattern of panicked breaths. I opened my eyes quickly when I felt his movement. He looked back into my eyes with tears flowing down his cheeks. He put his palms on my cheeks and kissed my forehead. He rested his forehead on mine for a quick second, then glanced back into my eyes. "Goodbye, Astrid,"
