The life of Val Saltzman was normal and mundane for a stretch. The one night stand between her parents lead to her mom moving to London to escape her judgemental family while her dad remained in America.
After many years of travelling back and fourth between the two countries Val and her mother decide to move to America to make visiting Alaric easier. When her mother mysteriously dies during the trip to America Val is forced to live with her dad in Mystic Falls.
Little did either of them know how greatly this would effect their lives. It's not always and forever.
