Some say Silver Bloods received their uncanny abilities in exchange for their hearts. Some say they eat children in their sleep. Others say they're beasts prowling the mortal realm in disguise.

Kai says he couldn't care less, but he's willing to become your worst nightmare if you stand in the way of what he wants, and all he's ever wanted was to be left alone. After being convicted of attempted murder, he is determined to rid himself of the shackles crippling his abilities. The only problem? They're cursed to bound him for the entirety of his sentence.

Nikita loves dark humor. But the irony is too much to bear when you're the daughter of a nightmare creature, being bred and raised to be a priestess. She's managed to keep it a secret for seventeen years but when her power becomes too much to contain, Nikita finds herself treading a very fine line. Suddenly, carefree smiles and reckless decisions aren't enough to snuff out her blazing façade. Literally, it's going down in flames.

In a desperate attempt to fix things, the two find themselves embarking on an impossible mission, discovering Sabedoria; the house of infinite knowledge known to materialize in the mortal realm once a millennium. On the run and out of time, Nikita and Kai are compelled to ally with a pair of otherworldly siblings determined to earn their second chance. Cue Artemis, the angelic demon, and Artemus, the demonic angel: far from home and ready to cause a whole lot of trouble.

But when nightmares awake and reach for the mortal realm with grimy fingers; this story needs a hero. Scratch that, heroes are overrated when you've got a criminal mage, a nightmare half breed, and the doomsday twins instead.
