These Nomu lived to torture. But it was known that if you passed out, they'd kill you. Deku was already pretty badly messed up before we got chained together so I was trying not to lose it. If these Nomu can't have their fun, it's over. And Deku had gone really quiet all of a sudden. How do I keep him awake? The inspirational stuff hadn't worked. I tried. I was never much for words of encouragement anyhow. Maybe I could try to get him angry. But this was Deku. How would I do that? Especially considering we were friends now. Think, you idiot. You're at the top of the class, you can figure something out. Wait. Ochako. That was how to get it done. Yes, that's brilliant.

At the beginning of their third year at UA, Deku and Dynamight get captured and tortured by Nomu. Dynamight must save Deku and himself, but he can't use his Explosions to do so. He will have to think outside the box.
