Penny Springfield lives inside her mind. She's shy, and other students bully her at school. Even her best friend doesn't do much to help; she's seeing Penny's secret crush. But things are about to change in a big way, and it starts with an audition for the choir solo.

(I've worked on this for a long time, off and on, and originally started writing it before 2010, so it roughly takes place around 2003/4.
