Michael Way regretted telling his older brother he'd go with him to the party that night. After about an hour of loud music and too many people in one room, he went on his way to find somewhere else to sit and made a start on that reading he was meant to be doing. But as a school project involved the two getting more time together, their opinions may change. Brendon was never the most thoughtful person. He was not particularly liked amongst the student body, he was known for ruining relationships and spreading nasty secrets. But he never really felt empathetic to these hurt people, not until he had managed to ruin his own relationship.
