Misha is a homo sapien wandering in southern France during the ice age. Along with her two sisters the have left their clan. With no male to protect the from their new clan leader and his hunters their was no other option. They search for food and shelter. In the murky gloom of the forest they find themselves face to face with a small strange hunting party. They are the others. Nykrion and his two brothers are gathering food after a hard winter. They don't know what to make of the odd females. One thing is certain though females even strange are valuable. The can do what no male can: bring forth new life.
