Welcome to a world where the Earth is completely motionless... Where every single day and night are six months long, and the planet is scorched by a relentless Sun. It's a world where cities are being swallowed by the Sea, and others have been all but deserted, the air too thin to breathe. A world where we face a terrible monotonous future. Struggling to survive in an unfamiliar landscape. This a story about what could happen, if the planet suddenly stopped spinning, and how on Earth changing one thing; changes everything.
The Earth is gradually slowing down; about one second every one hundred thousand years, but today, that slow-down, is going to speed up. It will take five years, and by the end, the Earth will stop spinning completely. What would happen to our oceans? Our continents? The air we breathe? what would happen, to us.

              Mexico, US border, Day 1:
The red-orange clouds pass above the American Airlines jet engine as we slowly land. The soft hue cast by a setting sun slowly turns into the black sky of night. Little did Jackson Monroe know that this was the last twenty-four hour day he would ever see again. He groaned softly in boredom and slumped in his rather uncomfortable chair, when all of a sudden; The plane made a violent jerk making him bump his head on the window pane. He groans in pain as air masks fall from the ceiling. The plane is about 4 miles from Fort Lauderdale, Florida; it's original destination. Which was a pro because the plane has a fair chance of landing. Many panicked passengers struggled to breathe as they pulled on their masks, only few were calm enough to put it on without trouble. Jackson, however, was one of the select few. He snapped the mask on. He recoiled due to the rubber smacking his face. Jackson breathed normally, or at least how normally he could in this situation. Most of the passengers are fine. Some struggling to breath. Five are dead.
