[ EDITING] James Potter was a skilled and talented wizard, his name a renowned one amongst Hogwarts students. Many knew him because of his outstanding Quidditch skills, most because of his infatuation with Lily Evans, but everyone knew he was a key member of the infamous Marauders that tormented the castle on a daily basis. Everyone thought he was an open book, easy to read, easy to keep up with. No one really understood how a chap as charming as James Potter would end up falling in love with Alexis Riddle, a renowned name in her own right, for being Lord Voldemort's little sister that is. But of course, James had always been cursed with having the worst of luck in love, and the fact that his loved one had been conceived under the use of a love potion proved so. This story is based on JK Rowling's characters from the series Harry Potter. I have done my best to be accurate with both timelines and character portrayals, but of course there will be some changes since this is an alternate universe with some original characters inserted, plus, there is only so much written about the marauder's era. The story takes place in the year 1976, the boys are all in their sixth year, and tensions are high at Hogwarts. Many of the students are already feeling the influence of the Voldemort, and it is causing suspicion and division to run rampant within the walls of the school. Sirius finds himself intrigued by a Slytherin girl he'd never taken the time to notice before, and a student transfer from Ilvermorny has caught the eye of Remus. Of course James is still battling for Lilly's attention, hoping to prove how much he's matured over the summer months. Undeniable attraction pulls these students together, but house division, many secrets, and a Dark Lord's growing influence threatens to tear them apart. Will they find a way to conquer their differences and pull together to face the coming war, or will the bonds of friendship fail the Marauders once and for all? Please comment!
