Michael is an omega. He doesn't understand a lot of the way things work, because for as long as he could remember, he has been locked in a basement. He has suffered abuse and isolation at the hands of his Master.
One morning Michaels life changes. He's unsure of this new savior and what it means for him. He's scared to trust anyone, and he's scared of the world he's always been shut away from.
Nathan has been an Alpha of the red forest pack since he was 19. He's now 27 and still waiting for his mate. It was unusual, but Nathan had preferences that he wasn't sure was going to ensure he would get a mate. He is visiting another pack when he his wolf goes on edge. Not knowing what his wolf is wanting and what is making him upset, he leads his beta and gamma to the object of his wolfs rattled state.
Finding a home on the edge of the territory, he scents a smell he never figured he would. His mate. His mate was everything he dreamed of, but not what he expected. He saves the small malnourished omega but his captor escapes.
