Father and the Humunculi have the scales tipped in their favor, but one small mistake costs them everything.
Father, who is more than confident in his victory over Amastris, gets a little too overzealous. He sets his eyes on another target after he's reached his goal. In his attempt to plan ahead, he invests time in reserching how to reach the other side of The Gate. One of his experiments succeeds, and brings a young woman from our world.
Mae, a young 19 year old woman is faced with the worst situation in her life. Her mother has passed away. Her father already marrying another woman, leaving her behind with not a cent to her name. Pretty much bound for homelessness, she wishes for more, but feels guilty for wanting that. But on the plus side, her older brother says she can stay with him until she gets back on her feet, but she never makes it over. Instead shes sucked into a world where she will be faced with difficult decisions and forced to fight for herself.
She might even find love, and the courage to fight for what she truly wants. That is, with the help of two interesting individuals, both living in and sharing the same body, though completely different from eachother.
Can one woman really tip the balance back where it belongs?
(So, Yes, I took inspiration from the first FMA... Obviously. But in case it wasn't clear enough, in this story Father and the Humunculi are winning, by a long a shot. So, this story will differ from the original.
