The fear of drowning has haunted Hwanwoong ever since an incident that took place in his childhood - he made sure to stay away from water that went higher than his knees at all cost and when it came to his life he always kept himself on the surface, too. Or at least he tried.
Because being on his very own in a big city like Seoul wasn't easy at all, and the debts piling up made him feel like he was getting buried alive - until a mysterious man invites Hwanwoong to a mysterious casting, in which he meets a mysterious, good looking guy, who held the power to wipe all of Hwanwoong's problems away with a snap, under the condition of agreeing to a deal.
And after Hwanwoong did agree to the deal, and ended up agreeing to marriage, he got to see a world that was above the surface he was struggling to stand on. A world of power, money, gambling, and danger - a world of possession, obsession, and madness.
He was suddenly in the middle of it all, and he was fast to realize that water isn't the only thing he could drown in.
