Emily "Emmy" Turner is not your average 15-year-old girl. She loves music, sports, reading, and surprisingly school. She gets straight A's and is considered a goody two shoes. She isn't exactly a popular girl though. She doesn't like to gossip and likes old pop songs and new ones. But people know she exists. I guess that could be one of the perks of being in a small school. She isn't like the other girls who go crazy about boy bands or boys.

Then comes the new kid, Jacob "Jake" Stone. He is cocky, but smart and sweet at times. He's not your average flirt. Even though he annoys Emmy at a daily bases, he always finds a way to make her laugh. Everyday after school ends, she looks forward to the next day to talk to him.

But what about Chase? Meet the childhood friend of Emmy. He's sweet, kind, and can sometimes be a jerk. He's also the school's rival team's star jock. He's the most trustworthy out of all of her friends.

But look out! Here comes another new student. This is Leo. He's outgoing, smart, curious, and funny. He doesn't play any school sports. He doesn't play any instruments. He is just as average as you can get. But Emmy sees more than a regular teenager in him.
