dream "dies" of unknown causes and george tries to figure out why it happened, but in the meantime he writes letters to dream and visits flower fields they went to together to recollect himself and recite memories.

inspired by my one shot chapter "flower fields!" for the sake of this short story, i'm going to be using dream's real name since this is an irl au

(written entirely in george's pov unless said otherwise and lowercase
intended:).

Clay has autism and finds comfort in simple things, the illuminated a fireplace on a winter's night, fish swimming and stuffed animals. However, this was all soon to change after a tragic accident. Clay finds himself alone, seeing his happiness slip away from one simple mistake. George doesn't have an easy home life, after noticing signs of possibly a muscle disease, his only wish is to get help for it, however his parents deny every word that is brought up about it. Yet, it gets worse by the day as George quickly looses any hope left. When Clay is left traumatised by his past, he thinks nothing will bring back the same happiness he once felt, but when George moves into the farm he often visits, that same joy that was extinguished with the fire, sparks again... TW's: -Bullying -(Child)abuse -Panic attacks -Homophobia -Fire/death (past) -Flashbacks/nightmares Not really a TW, I think, but: -Muscle disease
