The Shadower has no emotions. At least, not anymore. Not since she swore to cut herself off from them forever.

	After being raised in a harsh orphanage, a girl named Melany is stolen away by the dark sorceress Evena, who nobody dares even speak of. At the cost of her ability to speak, Melany gets the witch to agree to teach her her sorcerer's ways. Then mute, she learns how to use magic, and how to take vengeance without remorse.
	But after her own carelessness and hate towards the village she was raised in brings the worst kind of punishment down upon her mentor, Melany swears never to give in to her emotions again.
	Putting a mask around her heart, and another on her face to hide her brutal scarring, she changes her name to the Shadower. She becomes an assassin of the darkness, completely bent on fulfilling the mission Evena had given her before her demise.
	All her plots are going according to plan until two wanderers enter the forest, utterly unafraid of her and strangely... familiar. Normally she kills anyone who gets in her way, but she cannot this time. For not only is she certain that she knew them in the past, but they also offer a way for her to get her voice back.
	So when the wanderers ask her to take them back to the village through the treacherous woods, she agrees. But as they trek through the forest, her mask slowly starts to slip as they treat her with far more kindness than she deserves.
	And the powerful, wicked Shadower has to make a choice. Either to carry out her mentor's will, and remain strong, or give into her emotions, which doomed her last time. But she cannot do both. And as her eyes are opened further, she slowly learns that all she believes in is a lie.

[Warning; This book has plenty of foul language that sometimes borders on obscene, a couple of drool-worthy males, a smoking hot MC, and a storyline that will probably make you cry. *Run on sentence/warning done*] Thana Kage has been on the run for nearly half of her life. Hopping all across the world for five years and waiting for the time when people have forgotten she ever existed, Thana finally returned to make a new life for herself where it had all began. For three years, the plan went along well. She gained a new...friend, made her debut in a public school, and even procured a steady job with a solid income. It was all going so smoothly that Karma just couldn't help but bite her in the ass again. The Shade Brothers, the infamous Quad that Thana herself had once been apart of so long ago, have arrived to put a kink in Thana's well-maintained plan. She thought she had forgotten them. That they had forgotten her. They didn't forget nor did she. Que karmic ass-biting. *This is a slow-burn RH story with four hunks and one kickass female who've they've promised the world to while she keeps it all spinning. 40,000+ words so don't be deterred by the shortage of chapters.* {Apologies. I'm terrible at describing my story but by no means terrible in story...I think? Semi-good? Half-good? I don't know 😅 Anywho, give it a chance or a whirl and let me know what you think! P.S. This story is still in the editing stages so if you spot anything kinky let me know and I'll edit away! Happy reading :)}

It was her secret to keep. Hers only. But she couldn't help boasting about it at school. Her friends would demand proof. And then she would try to cover it up. She would be distracted all the time. Giving no time to her friends. Until her friends finally decided she had gone crazy. And that she was no longer their friend. But it hardly made a difference to her. As her secret was her devoted friend. And so, she didn't care. Until it really mattered. Evena Essenics, a near-sighted, Asian girl has a secret which changes her social life forever. It all seemed fun when she was little. But now that she's in year 8, it's not "cool" anymore. It's childish. Evena looses all her friends through it. But her secret is her true friends. Push aside THAT problem, Evena's mum isn't doing a very good job at being a mum. Ever since her dad died, Evena's mum became rude, selfish, harsh, violent and crazy. But on the outside she is perfect, her hair is the perfect shade of brown and blonde, her eyes and nose have the perfect shape and size, her skin is smooth and flawless and her standards are high and up. But on the inside, she is a demon. And Evena has to battle that demon everyday. But every night, at 12 o'clock in midnight, Evena slips out of that window, through the acres of country grass with the far away city lights stalking her, through the murky creek, and in to the forest. Where all Evena has to do, is close her eyes. And her secret is real.

❅| "Even a vastness can no longer shelter you... or engulf your dream." ⊱⋅ ──────────── ⋅⊰ [UNDER EDITING/REDRAFTING - latest chapter: 11] To a world seemingly shrouded in a cloak of safety and eternal peace, death is an unimaginable concept. Yet for those whose rule of life was mere survival, perhaps that's a different situation. For those who stood in the face of adversity, for those who refused to give in to the castigation of their lives, life has no sweetness to it. Merely the bitter tang of a blood-chilling revenge. To avenge a loved one or perhaps even their own pain, the murderous intent behind their deceitful eyes is unmistakable. For, to them, lamenting about the past is a life lost to the cruel hands of fate. - What happens when a woman as brilliant as the morning sun provides a haven in one's dreams? What happens when she, despite the agonies life carries, says to abandon everything right here and now and leave? Alcestis did not need to be told twice. Seizing the chance to escape the horrible clutches of her grandparents, she sets out to find the Elementals-a band of heroes protecting the human realm from those that lied beyond, headed by her parents. She knew of the darkness that festered within her; she knew of the hatred that danced in her heart. More than anything, she knew the extents of how fragmented her soul was. What, perhaps, would unfold when she sets out on her journey, leaving behind the world she knew; leaving behind what hopefulness remained in her battered heart? None would heed her an answer, indeed. None save for the rage that tainted her being.
Grim Echoes by ryanahunter
94 parts Complete Mature
Maeve's ability to touch others' souls can be heartbreaking and confusing, but when she connects with two murderers, it turns her world upside down. Are they still killers if they only kill monsters? What starts as a random attack on the street stopped by two strangers quickly escalates as Maeve discovers her attackers were demons. Thrusting her into their violent world, Maeve struggles to hold on to her humanity, making choices she never believed she would have to make. Disturbed but drawn to each of them. Will's bestial nature calls to her one moment and rejects her the next. While a powerful attachment to Ander's gentle soul comforts her, but every time they connect, she feels his darkness just below the surface. Will's entire life has been a war against monsters, alongside his best-friend Ander. Honor bound by duty, he is brutal, relentless, and uncompromising in his mission to protect the masses. He didn't understand how much his world would change after saving Maeve, or how she would shatter his convictions. Ander may have magical talents but in his mind, nothing will redeem him from the abomination he is. Bound by more than shed blood, Will, his adopted brother, and only friend. Together they seek and destroy aberrations that poison the world. Until Maeve touched his hand, there was nothing else but the mission. With her, Ander could see a different side of himself, a different life. This is a character driven story written from the 3 main characters POV's. It's a mature adult dark romance & contains dubious triggering situations that some might find offensive. If you want an instant, fearless heroine, Maeve won't be it. Her story is discovering who she is & what power love can bring versus kicking monsters asses. Power & money aren't the only things that make the world turn & those that wield the greatest power control destiny. If you're looking for heroes, Will & Ander are NOT it. If you're drawn to tortured villainous souls, you'll enjoy their saga.

They've both wanted to play the hero. But in the end, who are heroes, if not just villains in someone else's story? Harriot. A girl whose 'bad qualities' were chosen before she even existed just because she was born on the wrong side of the city. When you're in this situation, you only have two option: to let them brainwash you or to prove them all wrong. And as she meets a young spirit boy, why not believe that it's finally her time? But instead of shining, she falls apart. So, here's a lesson: you can only truly know yourself after learning what betrayal means. Recalling her past, Harriot discovers that there's always the third option: revenge. Sirius. Remembered as the ruler and hero of the spirits. Forgotten as the naive boy he once was. A boy who, as it seemed, could only destroy things. But in the end, is that such a horrible talent? And when you manage to destroy yourself, why not destroy others, too? Why not be the reason the world's changing? Besides, why not use a human girl to help you? What could possibly go wrong when she doesn't even know that she's a part of your plans? Except, maybe, that you might fall in love with her....
