Benjamin Jones was Lae's childhood best friend and true love. An unexpected event in Benjamin's life forces him to make a sudden disappearance. Lae is left without any news from Benjamin and becomes troubled over this for years. Three years past and they are reunited. Lae puts up a strong front, still not knowing Benjamin's reason for disappearing. Slowly they attempt to mend their friendship, unraveling things about each other they didn't know before the disappearance. Bumps in the road appear and Lae is still in search for the truth. Suspicious characters seem to be involved and their friendship once again becomes at stake.

Carly, however hates Mason's playboy ways and tries to change him but fails because of Mason's non-belief in real relationships and love. Carly's days of just worrying about school are gone. Her life has started revolving between relationships, feelings, love, hatred, old crushes, her past and even death. Will Carly succeed in changing Mason's point of view or will it be too late when he realizes it himself?
