The Ark is the last home of the human race. After nuclear bombs obliterated the Earth's surface ninety-seven years ago, humans of all ethnicities sought refuge among the stars, safely out of reach of orbit but still in view of the planet they once called home.
But now they're sending a select few back down, one hundred to be exact. One hundred delinquents from the Ark's prison - the Skybox - are being rocketed down to the Earth's surface to see if it's survivable.
Maybe Alana won't be floated after all...

In doing so, they managed to sentence almost all of them to an untimely death that was almost inevitable. With the idea of freedom, Hailey knows that she is never safe and that if weaknesses are shown, someone will use them against her. Will she be able to overcome her emotional and mental walls, even if it means that she'd be vulnerable? Being on the ground will change Hailey in ways that the people on the ark would never expect. She will find a better version of herself. Hailey will become what she was always meant to be, a warrior.
