Each Black Widow is said to be given an involuntary hysterectomy while they are trained in the red room. However, instead of disposing the eggs, they are instead used in genetic experiments to create the perfect Black Widow operative.

She was the result of one such attempt, much like dozens more like her. She spent her entire life confined inside a facility along with the rest of the children born from the same experiments like her, where she was trained in the arts of assassinations, subterfuge and finesse.
