Trying to stay afloat in her misery, Cassie finds comfort in music, distracting her from the life she was smothered into.
An opportunity arises and she hopes to meet the boys that have kept her breathing throughout this brutal year - 5 Seconds Of Summer.
But things take a tragic turn - Cassie is lost in her memories as she tries to grasp what happened the disastrous night she met Luke Hemmings.
She's just a fan but Luke is completely entranced by the lost soul he met in a dark room on a tormented night. Something about her helps him find the part of him he thought he lost while touring the world.
But will being together have any consequences?

"He sank to the ground with me in his arms, and through the spots and blurriness, I could see how awkward he was.
I wanted so badly to enjoy this moment, but I felt like crying. What was happening to me?
As if reading my mind, Luke whispered, 'Something's wrong.' "

When rising indie artist Leia Faulkner is chosen to open for global rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, she knows it could change everything - that is, if it doesn't destroy her first. Her songs are raw and intimate, the kind that hurt to sing. His are loud and untouchable. Luke Hemmings is the last person she wants to share a stage with - arrogant, magnetic, and impossible to ignore. From long bus rides and late-night writing sessions to interviews that twist the truth, their rivalry becomes its own kind of rhythm - sharp, charged, and undeniable. But behind the spotlight's glare, both carry scars the world doesn't see. As the tour unravels, so do they. And somewhere between hate and harmony, fame and fear, they start to write something neither of them expected - a story that could ruin them or remake them entirely. A story about music, hatred that borders on love, and the thin line between creation and collapse. (A Luke Hemmings fanfiction)
