This is an excerpt from the Vyscher Tales Part 1 and Part 2 that detail some of Serev's past, as well as that of the Cloud Dancer. If you're not in the mood to read both of those books prior to reading Cloud Dancer (The spin off for A Rock And A Heart Place), then this would help you understand her past. Read how Serev became the captain of the Cloud Dancer flying ship and some of the experiences that shaped her current life.
Bear in mind, a lot of this excerpt will be out of context, but it would be a good thing to read before jumping into Cloud Dancing to avoid confusion.
