This is an excerpt from the Vyscher Tales Part 1 and Part 2 that detail some of Serev's past, as well as that of the Cloud Dancer. If you're not in the mood to read both of those books prior to reading Cloud Dancer (The spin off for A Rock And A Heart Place), then this would help you understand her past. Read how Serev became the captain of the Cloud Dancer flying ship and some of the experiences that shaped her current life.
Bear in mind, a lot of this excerpt will be out of context, but it would be a good thing to read before jumping into Cloud Dancing to avoid confusion.

Cloud Dancing (gxg)
This is a spin off of both A Rock And A Heart Place and The Vyscher Tales Part 1 and 2. Reading A Rock And A Heart Place would help a lot, and excepts from The Vyscher Tales Part 1 and 2 can be found in Serev's Story to help understand Serev's past (Since I can't make you read too much!), though if you're feeling crazy you can skip them! Inya is the youngest daughter of Queen Medya and Queen Inez of Appalya.
