This was worsened when one of the strongest blood sect members also the next leader fell in love with the last forest guardian and had a daughter with her.

The blood sect pursed them to capture their daughter as she was their greatest threat in their quest for more power to rule the continent. In the process, the family was killed and no one was spared which one of the elders decided to do.
