As God of the Rain, Freyr was always viewed as dreary and bleak. He carried out his duties without emotion, bringing rain to those who needed it and withholding it from those who had wronged his fellow deities until they had repent for their sins. But one day, when coming down to the mortal realm to check on his temple, Freyr encounters a human who causes him to feel emotion for the first time in his centuries of existence. As he gets to know the human better, his immortal life becomes that much more enjoyable... But good things always come at a price. (image credit: picrew)

Living in a world of Greek gods and monsters can be hard enough on its own, but tacking on the trials and tribulations of love can make it almost impossible. By the power of the fates, Josh runs into someone he'd only seen once, in an airport on the other side of the country. Is this a sign that they are meant to be together or will the past and possibly the future affect his judgement? Find out in a short story in The Mortal God Series, The Mortal who Stole My Heart.
