Paul Goodbrook was born in Piltover, but like many unfortunate souls in Zaun, he lost people he cared for when the Topsiders battled the Zaunites. This put him down a path he didn't expect, where he will discover more about himself, whilst meeting lots of interesting people along the way as he navigates the political world of Pilltover and falls further into Zaun's crminal underworld.

This is book 1 of a planned book trilogy. This book will take place over the year before the start of Act 2 of the show, then will follow Paul's POV through the events of the show. As such, this book will be more of a contained story, as it will mainly follow Paul for the majority of the chapters. The plan is for book 2 to be my own version of Season 2 with some original characters involved, so it will be a larger story with regards to how many characters we will follow. Then book 3 will be a season 3 story based on my season 2 story.

My plan is to upload 1 chapter per week after I publish Chapter 3 (I had the first 3 pre written to see what numbers/feedback I get), but this may end up becoming 1 chapter every 2 weeks. If I'm able to get a lot of work done, I will publish chapters on a more regular basis outside of the established schedule. If any changes occur like a hiatus or something like that, I will update this description.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a League of Legends fan, I am a fan of Arcane. I have researched into LoL lore for inspiration, but I will not be using this as a faithful prequel to the current game lore. IT WILL BE ITS OWN STORY. This means that I may end up killing characters off before they reach the position they are in the game. I do not own Arcane. Caitlyn & Vi: The Void to Fill (an Arcane Season 2 Story) by barigrl

I threw my arm around her. Then lightly grabbed her face as she had done mine before, "shhhh, it'll be ok, I've got you ..." I whispered. I didn't let go... Cover art adapted from @trixdraws and @saskia Starting where Arcane season 1 (Netflix/Riot) left off. We see a romantic take on possible events with Caitlin and Vi after Jinx hurled her rocket at Piltover. Although this follows Caitlyn and Vi closely there's a lot of story development as well that I'm having fun with. Noxus, Zaun... culminating in a massive battle... I loved Arcane. It left off too soon, so I couldn't wait to write a story based on the series. The animations, music and storytelling coupled with emotion from every character was astounding. I'm excited to see the masterful art Riot will have in store for next season. But while we wait here's something to chew on... I'd say this is mature YA (a bit of language) nothing too explicit here. Absolutely loved this series and cannon from the League of Legends world. I may have started playing LoL before it officially launched in 2009 I personally see myself in the 3 protagonists Caitlyn, Vi, and Jinx. Sharing a lot of their strengths and weaknesses. (I don't know much League lore so bear with me!) Vi and Caitlyn finally have the chance at a good life with each other, but Caitlyn suspects something her mourning partner doesn't. After scanning the maps, it's perfectly plausible that Jinx, Vi's sister could have evaded death. If Jinx and Vi reunite, it could make Vi completely happy, but Caitlyn fears that Vi will die searching for Jinx. Mel has taken her mother's place. She never thought that her, the just, refined, former Councilor of Piltover, would run such a warlike place like Noxus. She thinks that maybe, if she tries hard enough, the people can possibly incorporate peace in their morals. Sevika thought that her little family would last, but she was horribly mistaken. Losing both Isha and Jinx, on top of the stress of being a Councilor, has taken its toll on her. She can't bear to find people she connects to in fear of losing them as well. Jinx is alive. Not well, but alive. She barely escaped the blast of her grenade with her shimmer-induced speed, dragging her heavily injured body through an air duct. Now, she's all alone again, inside of the tunnel systems. She doesn't know where to go, scrounging for scraps and barely making it through each day. Ekko's returned to the Firelights, but a change has occurred. He had started to mend his relationship with Jinx, and after the news of her death hit him, he stopped finding joy in things. The young Firelights playing, the sunlight streaming through the tree, his hoverboard, all things that used to put a smile on his face, just seem to remind him of Jinx. Jayce and Viktor are stranded in space. The blast from the Arcane destroyed their mortal forms, and now only their celestial bodies remain. They travel to different universes now, helping people when needed, or just talking about their memories together.
