In Her Head is a story about a girl named Victoria Palatzy, living her life with manic depression (bioploar disorder). She encounters her soon-to-be best friend, Rick, and learns that he has problems himself. They help each other live day by day, trying to be as "normal" as they can, before realizing that everyone around them isn't as normal as they seem. They find that everyone has some sort of problem, even if they were never diagnosed. They put a stop to everyones stereotypical thoughts on mental illnesses, and they finally get to live their lives without thinking they're freaks, like society has been telling them. This is an easy to relate to story if you've ever felt like an outcast; it teaches you that everyone is different and that the idea of "normal" doesn't even exist.
