"9-1-1 what's your emergency" I can't even breathe or pull my voice to say the words of what she is asking
"Hello, I will have to hang up if..."
"NO! No, my daughter has been kidnapped"
I can't concentrate on what is happening. My mind has drawn a blank, speechless and having difficulty forming words as they get trapped behind the forming lump in my throat.
"How long ago was this ma'am?"
"The last sign of her must of been yesterday. I had gone to bed thinking she was asleep, though in the morning she vanished. She wouldn't have ran away like this, with all her belongings left behind and finals tomorrow and... and..." I started hysterically crying after that because right now in my heart I know it will be impossible to find a 16 year old girl out of 7 billion people.
"Ok ma'am, just calm down for now. I'll send someone over to investigate"
"hurry" I could barely get that over a whisper
~Authors note~
To explain this so you don't get confused, this was the mother's point of view and in this book it's mostly going to be the daughters point of view. I just did the mother's point of view to make it more dramatic.
*TRIGGER WARNING*
This book will contain subjects of rape, murder, drug use, parent issues/problems, kidnapping, and other topics. I will try my best, at any chapter that contains these issues, to warn all of you. Thank you for reading and voting!
A campus thriller: suspense, murder & one handsome roommate.
*****
When Haley Bell is offered a scholarship to study at the exclusive Woodcreek College, famous for moulding the world's brightest thinkers, politicians and entrepreneurs, she jumps at the opportunity.
Except when she arrives, the murders start.
In a campus hidden from civilisation in the mountains of Colorado, Haley's classmates are slowly turning up dead. As the bodies pile up and eyes of suspicion turn on her, Haley finds that there's a reason why she was brought to Woodcreek.
And it wasn't to study.
