Alizsa Brown is trying her best to be like everyone else, carefree with close to no problems. The state of her Mother is awful due to her addiction for alcohol and with a dead father, her life isn't near perfect. All Alisza wants is for no one to find out the truth, she is an excellent student along with a great friend, she is scared the others will think ill of her if the truth is revealed. One day, near the beginning of the semester of her sophomore year her mother gets in a tragic car accident, her help is needed but problems are caused and she is not able to get herself to the hospital. Alizsa is forced to ask the guy on the parking lot for help, only to find out he is well known on campus for his looks and his ability to play hockey like a star. The decision makes and he agrees on giving her a ride. Alizsa is now scared to death he will tell her secret but she will soon know Josh have some secrets to be revealed as well, near the same problem as Alizsa herself.
