"Take a picture." She finally spoke but didn't turn her head to look at me. "It'll last longer."

It would've been a gorgeous picture: Cigarette smoke floating in the late winter air. One of her tan legs hiked up against the shed. Her long fingers outstretched in front of her.

"Cigarettes can kill you, you know."

At this, she turned to face me, raising her glasses onto the top of her head and narrowing her eyes. "I could say the same thing about talking to strangers."
