I only knew four things when I woke up; my name, age, that I had a mom, and I had a horrible horrible headache. When I awoke, I was in a small, white room with no doors, no windows- nothing but a small table with a phone. On the phone was only one text message, it read "Get used to it."

Kathleen had been imprisoned for years. She had no idea who they were or why she was there. Every day for years it had been the same thing. No talking or communicating with her captors after the first year she no longer tried. Getting beaten for making any noise at all. They didn't even speak within hearing distance of her. She was given a book and daily exercise but hadn't seen the sun or outside since she was put in her cell. Until that day when it all changed. Aliens existed and she was going somewhere with them, not sure as to where but at least she was out of her cell. She would not go back in one no matter how nice her new 'cage' seemed. 100 years ago, amidst WW3's nuclear bombing, a deadly virus was released in the atmosphere and nearly wiping out the humanity. It lives inside the human brain thriving on the empathy receptors, leading to irrational behaviour and ultimately brain death. To slow the damage, scientists created L.O.V.E, short for Living Off Vital Emotions, a nanovaccine that numbs the virus and switches off all strong emotions. As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. I wake up.... but "wake up" isn't right,waking up would require a bed, covers, a pillow. Instead I come to and I sit up, right away, a pounding headache bursts through me, it takes a while, but it passes. I look down my white dress, I see dry blood stains on it, but I can't find any injury. I realize that I'm in a cage, I see metal bars around me,the floor I'm sitting on is also metal, I recheck my body for injuries, but instead of an injury, I feel something soft, my blood runs cold, ...fur, it feels like fur, I turn my head around. look down, at the back of my dress and start screaming, I can't stop, it's like someone has taken control of my vocal chords, the reason I'm screaming is because what's on-no what's attached to me, is a wolf's tale.She doesn't know who she is, she doesn't know where she is, what she does know is that she has to escape.Complete
