Aliens could be  not always be hostile, or could not be exploring out of curiosity. Sometimes they do it out of need. But to compete, to conquere? What if they do it out of survival?

Not many stories in my opinion do explore it in the last one in my opinion....or i just dont read enough such stories XD.
