"It's easy enough to start a secret." he said. "The hard part is to kill it."
"That's easy enough too."
"How?"
"You silence every one who knows it."

Everything is a competition in Highmoor Prep.
Academics, sports, debates, art, music, friendships, enmity. You don't do anything for nothing. Everything has it's pros and cons, its ifs and buts, but most importantly it's wins and loses. But most of all, the post of Highmoor Prep's valedictorian is a competition. One everyone is hell-bent on winning. Because it's not a post.
It's power.
Rosalyn Garcia is sure she'll make it to the top. She's a top-notch student, with perfect grades, a brilliant track record, and a knack of cold-blooded ambition. There's just one person standing in her way, like he always is--James Borough. Oh, and Raymond Richards too.
Except, Raymond is dead.
A week before the elections, he was found in his bedroom with multiple knife wounds, staring at the broken-into window.
And Jamie and Rosa refuse to say where they were the night he died.
As the police surround Rosa and Jamie, can they trust each other enough to work their way out free together? Can they prove their innocence before the ticking clocks to their future in a week?
Or is this truce a way to get rid of more competition: each other?
