In his life, Malore was guaranteed at least one person who would love him. Each person was given a mark by the gods at their birth that would represent them and at the age of seven would go through the marking ceremony - a night where the marks of themself and their soul mate would be permanently etched in their skin. Before he could even consider a life with the partner that fate had given him, he would need to focus on keeping himself alive as his mother's husband attempted to force him into the role of the next tyrant king of a nation formerly ruled by elves. With a stepfather who will stop at nothing to get him back, will Malore be able to find his soulmate and live a normal life? Or will he find himself written in history as yet another in a line of tyrants?

Ethan Potter has spent his whole life wondering when the black mark on his wrist will finally burst into color. In a world where soulmates are destined by a single touch, the mark remains a constant reminder of what he's missing. Xander Sorikore, known for his sharp wit and rebellious streak, has always dismissed the idea of fate deciding his love story-until he collides, quite literally, into Ethan. The moment their skin meets, a cascade of color explodes across their marks, unraveling secrets, emotions, and a bond neither expected but both can't deny. But with the weight of their pasts and the expectations of the wizarding world pressing down on them, can they embrace their connection, or will fear and uncertainty tear them apart before they even begin?
