America has never been great at relationships, for he's never had the chance to try. Or in other words he has been too afraid to open up to those he deeply cares about. This circles back to his eyes and past; long before and after his revolution. He was born with unnatural black eyes, with his Sky-Blue Iris's. Fearing that he may be labeled an outcast or blamed, he hid them and built up walls as a safety measure.

Russia was horrible with relationships, after all the abuse from his father - he never tried to get close to anyone. And when he did, he always ended up hurting them like his father did. There were only a couple of people that were able to know what he was actually like. His sisters, Ukraine and Belarus. His heart is truly soft and he is like a teddy bear, but is very protective of who he cares about.

2022 edit: This do be an unrealistic and cringey story, be mentally prepared Russia was in an incident 2 years ago when he was 13, causing him to lose most of his memories. He now has a mental age of six(idk, just child age), is unable to mature further and only remembers his family. He has forgotten all of his middle/high school friends. The incident goes unsolved and all everyone can do is let it go. His friends do try to rebuild their friendships with him, but of course, it can never be the same. America took it the worse out of everyone, even worse than Russia's family. That is because he had a huge crush on Russia, but never dared to say it. If he had known about the incident, he would've confessed. Whenever he's alone, he cries.
