Dangerous love

Harper Evans is an ordinary 18-year-old girl from an ordinary family. She was just seven when she found a farewell letter from her father. He vanished.

Disappeared without a trace - and nobody ever saw him again. Her mother, Mary, was naturally devastated by the loss of her husband, completely broken and unable to function.

Harper loved her father deeply, just as her mother did, and now that he was gone, it felt like her whole world had collapsed. Even at her young age, she was a remarkably intelligent child - and she knew she had to care for her beloved mother, despite her own pain.

Time passed, and slowly things began to feel almost normal again. Harper stayed strong, and her mother found a job - one that kept her busy enough to numb the pain she had lived through.

But sometimes life throws you into moments that turn everything upside down. Harper starts high school at Oliver's High and finds two best friends - Niall and Mackenzie. For the first time in years, a part of her life feels happy again.

Then, in her third year, a new teacher joins the school. He entangles her in a whirlwind of emotions so deep that Harper is left unsure how to escape it - or if she even wants to.
