henry had a girlfriend before his wives..
backstory on Cosette-
she was abused by her father, and
she dated henry viii when they were pre teens through teens.
henry's friend thomas would often hang around, and offer to walk her back to her chambers when henry couldn't, and other 'kind' gestures.
until king henry vii found out about Cosette being 'close' with thomas.. that was the end of life for the young queen-to-be.
(henry was a terrible person when they dated, this wasn't no love story)
**she was to be queen because her father was a noble who was closely related to the king of france. the marriage would create an alliance with england and france.
-The king of france had no heir to the throne, he decided for his neice to be next in line, if able to marry other royalty
( disclaimer ik nothing about francis I, this is solely for the story,
and this backstory isn't guaranteed to be all mentioned, but it's nice to know the little plot holes)

[A/N]: Hey guys! Before I post this story, I was going to give a little insight. A very good friend of mine and I decided to write this book, and what better way to recieve constructive critcism than to share with everyone here on wattpad? I lay back down after that, so much for Emma accepting our marriage. Unhappiness coursed through my body and I became furious. I’d never love Emma either; with that I went to sleep. I dreamt of my mother singing in the castle, her voice was loud and demanding. Her words flowed so freely from her mouth and danced playfully down the halls. She was in the throne room singing to my father just as she always did. Her song was about the way she learned to love my father. Most marriages in Scotland are arranged, and due to our beliefs they have to work out. The Lost Life of Laraine
She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. IT WILL BE EDITED SOME DAY BUT RIGHT NOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FINISH IT.

After seeing the Medici family Henry, his wife Elizabeth, his mother Margret, as well as all three of his oldest children and daughter in law have their eyes on one Medici girl in particular, Maddalena de'Medici. Maddalena is a breathe of fresh air considered the most beautiful women in the world at the time, has the Grace of a Queen and the mind that can challenge the wit and intellect of all her brothers put together and some.
